A Podcast is a way of sharing your ideas and opinions with the world. While making this podcast I talked about how New York City has recently joined a lawsuit against social media platforms. I learned about the deaths that have been occurring in our youth due to dangerous social media trends such as subway surfing and how social media can be dangerous to kids who do not have proper supervision. I researched this on a few different news sites including The New York Post and New York City’s official government website. Working on this podcast I have learned about the dangers of social media and how we should all be cautious when using the platforms. The biggest challenges while making this podcast would be trying to keep a clear and even voice when recording and also trying not to mess up on my lines which took a couple tries and a little bit of editing. While making this podcast I have acquired some skills in audio editing and recording and learned more about research. Making this podcast taught me about the ways social media can effect people and the importance of being careful online. From working on this I also learned more about podcasting itself and how it can be used to communicate and share stories online and through social media.
